Description of the Smart Ground Multimeter Components
The Smart Ground Multimeter operates from a 120 Volt, 60 Hz source. It consists of the following components:1. The Smart Ground Multimeter source module, which is pictured below:
2. Two voltage probe assemblies (shown below). Each assembly consists of a 500-foot triplex-shielded cable with three connectors spaced 100 feet apart.
3. A current return assembly (shown below)
4. Power cord for the Smart Ground Multimeter (standard 3-prong 120 VAC power cable).
5. Red-Black-Green cable assembly connector.
6. DB9 serial data cable connecting the Smart Ground Multimeter to the computer (RS232).
7. Six two-foot voltage probes, three two-foot current probes, and a hammer. (See below).
8. Two (one yellow and one blue) triplex shielded cable connectors.
9. A CD-ROM containing the SGM software installation program.
10. Calibration and Testing Unit (shown below).
11. Red-Black-Green cable connector to be used with the Testing and Calibration unit.
The operation of the Smart Ground Multimeter requires a personal computer. Minimum requirements are:
• Pentium Processor IBM compatible PC.
• Microsoft Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, or XT Operating Systems.
• Available RS-232 serial port.A portable computer is recommended.
